The story of my garden began with a simple love for flowers and fewer than a dozen dahlia tubers planted beside my house. Five years later, that small beginning has grown into over 400 dahlias and a passion that ignites my soul.
Much of my growing space is alongside bee hives, where the hum of pollinators mixes with the colors of each bloom. I’m grateful for the support of Queen Bee Remedies LLC, whose support has helped turn this little dream into a thriving flower farm. I’ve learned that abundance doesn’t require acres of land and that small-scale farming can create incredible beauty and joy.
For me, flower farming is more than tending stems and soil. It’s the quiet magic of early mornings in the garden, the anticipation of a bud opening, and the joy of sharing that beauty with others. Nothing fills my heart more than seeing someone pause at the flower stand, find an arrangement that speaks to them, and leave smiling.
Life is full and busy. Alongside the flower farm, I teach mathematics full-time and raise two young children with my husband, who often help with planting and harvesting—or just enjoy playing in the garden. My husband, my biggest supporter, is always ready to help bring my next “big idea” to life. Officially crowned the #1 rototiller runner, he makes even the toughest tasks feel effortless.
Pretty Posies and Petals is a family effort, a labor of love, and a dream that continues to grow. My hope is that every flower you take home carries a little of the care and joy we put into each bloom.
